Scope

This document specifies the specimen size, sample requirements, and test procedures for self-restraint hot cracking tests, including T-joint weld crack tests, weld metal tensile tests, and longitudinal bending tests.
This document is primarily applicable to the evaluation of hot cracking sensitivity in austenitic stainless steel, nickel, nickel-based, and nickel-copper welding materials.
