Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the magnetic particle inspection of mechanical equipment in the nuclear island of nuclear power plants using the continuous method. This document is applicable to the magnetic particle inspection of ferromagnetic materials, components, and welded joints used in the manufacturing and installation of mechanical equipment in the nuclear island of nuclear power plants. It is not applicable to the inspection of non-ferromagnetic materials.
