Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, laboratory testing methods, ground verification test methods, and inspection rules for in situ spectral detection instruments for the moon and planets (hereinafter referred to as "spectral instruments"). This document is applicable to the design, development, laboratory testing, and ground verification of in situ spectral detection instruments with detection methods such as imaging spectroscopy, point spectroscopy, and a combination of the two, and detection information types such as radiation spectroscopy and diffuse reflection spectroscopy. Other space spectral detection instruments and ground-based spectral detection instruments can be implemented with reference to this document.
