Scope
This standard specifies eight design parameters for the starting performance of 50 Hz or 60 Hz single-speed three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors. The motors shall comply with IEC 600341 standard, and ● the rated voltage shall not exceed 1,000 V; ● they shall be directly started or star-delta started; ● they shall be based on the S1 duty cycle; ● they may have any protection class and explosion-proof grade. This standard also applies to dual-voltage motors with the same degree of magnetic saturation at both voltages. The torque values, apparent power values, and current values given in this standard are limit values (minimum or maximum values, without tolerance).
