YD/T 4732.1-2024 Assessment of the power density of RF fields exposure to human body from wireless devices used near the human head and body, Part 1: Measurement protocol (frequency range 6 GHz to 300 GHz)
Basic Information
Scope
The relevant schemes in this document can be used to determine the compliance of different types of radio frequency (RF) emitting communication devices used near the head and body with the corresponding maximum power density requirements. These communication devices include those used in conjunction with other RF-emitting or non-emitting devices and accessories (such as belt clips), as well as those embedded in clothing. The applicable frequency range in this document is 6GHz to 300GHz. The RF-emitting communication devices covered in this document include, but are not limited to, radio transmitters in mobile phones, personal computers, desktop and laptop devices, as well as multi-band multi-antenna devices. Note 1: Appendix B specifies system verification test schemes for 10GHz, 30GHz, 60GHz, and 90GHz, covering a frequency range of 6GHz to 110GHz. In future update standards, additional verification antennas will be added to extend the frequency range to 300GHz. The relevant principles for this part can be found in Appendix I. Note 2: The protocols and test procedures in this document can also be applied, with modifications, to evaluate the exposure caused by non-communication devices used near the head and body, but these devices are not within the scope of use of this document. Note 3: When evaluating the combined exposure from simultaneous transmitters in the sub-6GHz band, the relevant standards for SAR measurement are YD/T 1644.5 and YD/T 1644.3. Note 4: This document overlaps with YD/T 1644.5 in the frequency range of 6GHz to 10GHz. According to the ICNIRP guidelines [2] and IEEE ICES C95.1 [3], power density is the compliance metric for this frequency range. If the review authority permits, SAR can also be used as a compliance metric (for example, in the case of a single transmission band including test channels below and above 6GHz). This document does not apply to electromagnetic field (EMF) measurements of devices or objects implanted in the human b
