Scope
This part of GB/T 21283 describes rotating shaft lip sealing rings with sealing elements made of thermoplastic materials. The sealing elements are based on thermoplastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and are manufactured through appropriate assembly processes. This part specifies the classification of surface defects in rotating shaft lip sealing rings (hereinafter referred to as sealing rings) with sealing elements made of thermoplastic materials. These surface defects may weaken the function of the sealing rings, and the purpose is to facilitate manufacturers and users to discuss the impact of these defects on different application scenarios.
