Scope

This document specifies the technical data, operating environment, metal structure, inspection content, and methods for the inspection of cranes used for lifting molten metals, where the lifting mechanism is an electric hoist; This document applies to the following inspections of cranes using electric hoists as lifting mechanisms for lifting molten metals: - Metallurgical LD and LX electric single-girder cranes and LH electric hoist bridge cranes with a lifting capacity of no more than 10 tons; - Gantry cranes with an electric hoist as the lifting mechanism for lifting molten metals with a lifting capacity of no more than 10 tons; - Electric hoists (steel wire rope or chain hoists) used for lifting molten metals with a lifting capacity of no more than 10 tons.
