Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and explanations, principles, testing equipment, specimens, sample cutting and specimen preparation, testing requirements and procedures, result evaluation, and test reports for the lateral bending test of metal round tubes. This standard applies to lateral arc specimens of metal tubes with an outer diameter of not less than 60 mm (including seamless round tubes and straight-seam welded round tubes) and lateral rectangular specimens of metal tubes with an outer diameter of not less than 400 mm. Other tubes can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
