Scope

This standard specifies the method of flattening test for determining the plastic deformation capability of circular cross-sectional metal pipes, and can also be used to reveal their defects. Except for the provisions of relevant product standards, this standard applies to metal pipes with an outer diameter not exceeding 600 mm and a wall thickness not exceeding 15% of the outer diameter.
