Scope

This standard specifies the method of performing a flattening test to determine the plastic deformation capability of circular cross-sectional metal tubes, including the display of their defects. This standard applies to metal tubes with an outer diameter not exceeding 600 mm and a wall thickness not exceeding 15% of the outer diameter.
