Scope
This standard specifies the methods of eddy current flaw detection for seamless copper and copper alloy pipes, including through-beam and spot (rotating) eddy current testing, comparison samples, instruments and equipment, operating procedures, and evaluation of the results.
This standard is applicable to the eddy current flaw detection of surface and near-surface defects in straight pipes and coiled pipes with an outer diameter of 3 mm to 160 mm. The detection depth should refer to Appendix D. Pipes of other specifications can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
