Scope

This standard specifies the methods for evaluating the performance of monitoring systems, the minimum monitoring range at the rear when the machine is reversing, the driver's visual and auditory information, and the self-checking features of the system. This standard applies to machines defined in GB/T 8498 with a reversing speed of less than or equal to 5 km/h, and whose field of vision meets the visibility category III for the side rearview range (see GB/T 16937.2—1997, Section 4.4.3) and the visibility category III for the rear view range (see GB/T 16937.2—1997, Section 4.5.3).
