Scope

The chapter in GB 14536.1 applies to all the following except the following content:
1.1 Replaces:
This part applies to energy regulators used in household and similar devices, or in conjunction with such devices, including those used for heating, air conditioning, and similar purposes. The controlled devices may use electric, gas, oil, solid fuels, solar energy, or a combination of these energy sources.
Note: Energy regulators may be thermally operated, mechanically operated, or electrically operated.
1.1.1 Replaces:
This part applies to the inherent safety of electrical automatic controllers, to the operating values, operating times, and operating procedures related to device safety, and to the testing of electrical automatic energy regulators used in household or similar devices or with such devices.
This part also applies to energy regulators used in appliances within the scope of GB 4706.1.
Note: The term "device" in this part includes "appliances and equipment".
This part does not apply to electrical automatic energy regulators specifically designed for industrial use.
This part also applies to standalone energy regulators that form part of a control system or energy regulators mechanically combined with multifunctional controllers with no power output.
Energy regulators used in public places, such as those in stores, light industry, and farms, which are operated by non-professionals, are also included in the scope of this part.
See also Appendix J.
1.1.2 Not applicable.
1.1.3 Not applicable.
1.1.4 Replaces:
This part also applies to manual energy regulators that are electrically and/or mechanically integrated with automatic controllers.
Note: Requirements for manual switches that are not part of the energy regulator are specified in GB 15092.1.
1.2 Replaces:
This part applies to energy regulators with a rated voltage
