Scope
This standard specifies the evaluation and expression methods of measurement uncertainty for quantitative detection of microorganisms in food.
This standard applies to the evaluation of measurement uncertainty for quantitative analysis of food and environmental samples used to monitor the processing and storage of food, as well as to instrument-based quantitative analysis methods that can replace conventional microbial colony counting methods.
This standard does not apply to the most probable value counting method and methods for analyzing low-concentration microorganisms.
The evaluation of measurement uncertainty for quantitative analysis of animal feed products also refers to this standard.
