Scope

This guidance technical document stipulates:
—— Evaluating the measurement uncertainty (MU) based on the collaborative test data in accordance with GB/T 6379.2—2004.
—— Comparing the collaborative test results with the measurement uncertainty obtained by the uncertainty propagation principle (see Chapter 14).
This guidance technical document stipulates the study of other models of intermediate precision in ISO 57253, although this method can also be applied to these extended models, but the uncertainty evaluation under these models is not included.
This guidance technical document is applicable to the evaluation of uncertainty in all measurement and testing fields, but it is not applicable to the application method of repeatability data when no reproducibility data are given.
This guidance technical document is applicable to the cases where the identified, non-negligible system effects have been corrected by assuming numerical corrections applicable as part of the measurement method, or by identifying and eliminating the causes of the effects.
This guidance technical document serves as a guideline, proposing an effective method for uncertainty evaluation under various applications, but other suitable evaluation methods can also be adopted.
This guidance technical document is applicable to measurement results, methods and processes, or testing results, methods and processes.
