Scope
This standard specifies the method of conducting indentation tests on single-layer or multi-layer coatings of color paints, varnishes, or related products using a Barcol Indenter. The resulting indentation length indicates the degree of residual deformation of the coating. This indentation test is not suitable for products containing toughening agents.
