Scope
This standard specifies the determination of the migration of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, nickel, lead, antimony, and zinc from food contact materials and products after soaking in food simulants using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (ICP-OES); it also specifies the determination of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and lead in paper products and cork stoppers using ICP-MS.
This standard applies to the determination of the migration of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, nickel, lead, antimony, and zinc from all types of food contact materials and products, as well as the determination of arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and lead in paper products and cork stoppers.
