Scope

This standard specifies the protection potential criteria for cathodic protection systems with impressed current applied to coastal facilities, as well as the technical requirements, system design, installation and inspection, and operation, maintenance, and testing requirements of the system.
This standard applies to the cathodic protection with impressed current applied to coastal facilities such as seawater pipelines, seawater pumps, drum-type rotary screens, condensers, and floating docks in seawater.
