GB/T 15843.1-2008 Information technology—Security techniques—Entity authentication—Part 1:General
Basic Information
Scope
This section specifies a verification model and the general requirements and constraints for entity verification mechanisms that employ security technologies. These mechanisms are used to confirm that an entity is the one it claims to be. The entity to be verified proves its identity by demonstrating that it indeed knows a secret. These mechanisms define the exchange of information between entities and, if necessary, with a trusted third party. The details of these mechanisms and the content of the verification exchange are not specified in this section, but are specified in other parts of GB/T 15843. The mechanisms specified in other parts of GB/T 15843 can be used to help provide the anti-repudiation services specified in GB/T 17903. The relevant content of anti-repudiation services is not within the scope of GB/T 15843.
