GB/T 30024-2013 Cranes—Proof of competence of steel structures
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the general conditions, requirements, methods, and parameter values for the capacity verification of crane metal structures based on the limit state method, for use in conjunction with the applicable parts of ISO 8686 on loads and load combinations.
This standard is universal and applies to all types of cranes. For specialized cranes, specific requirements for capacity verification may be specified by other standards.
Capacity verification is conducted through theoretical verification calculations and/or testing, with the aim of avoiding hazards related to structural performance based on established strength limits (such as yield limits, fatigue, and brittle fracture).
According to ISO 8686-1, capacity verification calculations can be performed using two methods: the limit state method of partial load coefficients and the allowable stress method of overall safety factors. It is permitted to replace the limit state method specified in this standard with the allowable stress method.
This standard does not include capacity verification calculations for auxiliary components (such as railings, stairs, walkways, and cabins). However, the impact of these auxiliary components on the main structure must be considered.
Note: The capacity verification for elastic stability is governed by separate international standards.
