GB/T 7690.2-2013 Reinforcements—Test method for yarns—Part 2:Determination of twist

Scope

This part of GB/T 7690 specifies the method for determining the twist of glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, or other reinforcing fiber yarns.
This method is applicable to single yarns (twisted once), stranded yarns, or cables (twisted twice or more). For stranded yarns and cables, this method is generally only applicable to the determination of the final twist.
This method is applicable to wound yarns. If the sample is a warp yarn (warp) or a yarn extracted from a fabric, the test results are only used as a status indicator.
This method is not applicable to products made from defined-length fibers.
