Scope

This standard specifies the preparation, marking, and measurement methods for textile fabrics, garments, and fabric components when their dimensions change due to washing, dry cleaning, water immersion, or steam treatment. The treatment procedures are in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8629, GB/T 19981, GB/T 8631, ISO 15797, and FZ/T 20021.
This standard applies to woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, and textile products, but it does not apply to certain decorative coverings.
