Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for double-pitch precision roller chains and their associated sprockets used in mechanical power transmission and conveyance. The content includes dimensions, tolerances, length measurement, pre-tension, and minimum tensile strength. Double-pitch chains are derived from GB/T 1243 short-pitch precision roller chains, with a pitch that is twice as large and identical interchangeable dimensions in other aspects. The chains specified in this standard are applicable in scenarios where the power and speed transmission requirements are relatively lower than those of the basic chains from which they are derived. The range of tooth numbers specified in this standard for sprockets is 5 to 75 teeth (including intermediate values, from 5.5 to 74.5). Preferred tooth numbers are: 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 19, 27, 38, and 57.
