Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and explanations, test principles, test equipment, specimens, test procedures, test data processing, evaluation of the validity of test results, and test reports for high-strain-rate high-temperature tensile tests on metal materials using separate Hopkinson test bars. This standard is applicable to the determination of mechanical properties such as tensile stress-strain curves of metal materials at temperatures higher than room temperature and in a strain rate range of 102 s-1 to 103 s-1.
