Scope

This document specifies the requirements for batch-by-batch inspection, reliability and durability testing, and periodic inspection of small fuses for quality assessment. This document provides guidelines for quality assessment of small fuses that do not undergo type testing, to be used when users and manufacturers cannot reach complete agreement on certain tests. The purpose of this document is to provide generally acceptable guidelines and specifications for quality control purposes for users and manufacturers of small fuses with high demand. This document is applicable to batches of 10,000 or more. It can also be applied to small batches if necessary. For small fuses that have passed all type testing specified in the corresponding sections of GB/T 9364, periodic simplified type testing (Chapter 5) is required to ensure that their technical performance level is maintained. This document does not specify the frequency of periodic inspections for batch-by-batch inspection. For application guidelines of the IECCEE 03 (CB-FCS) rules for small fuses, see Appendix A.
