Scope

This part of GB/T 21412 specifies the requirements for underwater wellhead devices, mudline wellhead devices, drilling-through mudline wellhead devices, and underwater vertical and horizontal production trees, as well as the related tools required for equipment handling, testing, and installation. It also stipulates the design, materials, welding, quality control (including factory acceptance tests), marking, storage, and transportation of independent subassemblies (used to construct complete underwater production tree assemblies) and complete underwater production tree assemblies.
Users are responsible for ensuring that underwater equipment meets any additional requirements of the government regulations of the country where it is installed. This is beyond the scope of this part.
When applicable, this part can also be applied to equipment used in satellite wells, cluster wells, and multi-layer completion systems for pad-mounted wellheads, etc.
