Scope
This part of GB/T 16903 specifies: — The steps to follow when collecting the necessary information during the standardization of graphic symbols; — The methods used when testing the most easily understandable graphic symbol schemes; — The methods used when testing the accuracy of graphic symbol schemes in conveying the intended information. The purpose of preparing this part is to ensure that graphic symbols and graphic signs are easy to understand, but there are no corresponding means to ensure that the prohibition or warning information conveyed by the graphic symbols or signs designed in accordance with this part can be complied with by people. Note: Only with the right attitude and motivation can the information conveyed by graphic signs be complied with. Graphic signs cannot replace supervision, physical barriers, education, and other means of ensuring safety.
