GB/T 16903.2-2013 Rules for the presentation of graphical symbols for use on graphical signs—Part 2:Methods for testing comprehensibility
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 16903 specifies the test methods for the comprehensibility of graphic symbols, including:
——The method used to test the accuracy of graphic symbol schemes in conveying the intended information;
——The method used to test the most easily understandable graphic symbol schemes.
The purpose of preparing this part is to ensure that graphic symbols and graphic marks are easy to understand, and to develop graphic symbols that can be correctly understood by users without supplementary text (i.e., explanatory text). If the developed graphic symbols cannot meet this requirement, the graphic symbols may need to be used in conjunction with supplementary text (which uses the language of potential users to explain the meaning of the graphic symbols).
