GB/T 41862-2022 Earth-moving machinery and mining—Autonomous and semi-autonomous machine system safety

Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements for autonomous and semi-autonomous machines (ASAMs) used in earthworks and mining operations, as well as autonomous or semi-autonomous machine systems (ASAMS). It sets forth safety guidelines for machines and their associated systems and infrastructure (including hardware and software), and provides guidance for safe use in designated functional environments throughout the life cycle of machines and systems. The document also defines terms and definitions related to ASAMS. This document applies to earthworks machinery products defined in ISO 6165 and autonomous and semi-autonomous machines used in open-pit or underground mobile mining machinery, as well as other types of autonomous or semi-autonomous machines used on construction sites. General safety requirements for mobile earthworks and mining machinery and their operators, trainers, or passengers are specified in other documents (such as ISO 20474 and ISO 19296). This document addresses other specific hazards associated with ASAMS when used as intended. It does not apply to remote control capabilities (specified in ISO 15817) or automated features of specific functions, unless these functions are used as part of an ASAMS.
