GB/T 3241.1-2025 Electroacoustics—Octave-band and fractional-octave-band filters—Part 1:Specifications
Basic Information
Scope
1.1 This document specifies the performance requirements for bandpass filters implemented using analog, sampled data, and digital methods. For all filters with a given bandwidth, the relative attenuation characteristics of the filter in the passband range are a constant percentage of the accurate center frequency. Instruments that meet the requirements of this document may include any number of adjacent bandpass filters covering any required frequency range.
1.2 This document sets forth performance requirements for two filter grades, 1st and 2nd. Generally, the specifications for 1st and 2nd filters have the same design objectives, with the main difference being the acceptance limit and operating temperature range. The acceptance limit for 2nd filters is greater than or equal to that of 1st filters. The maximum allowable expanded measurement uncertainty is also specified.
1.3 The design performance requirements given are based on an octave ratio and center frequency in base 10.
1.4 Bandpass filters that meet the performance requirements of this document can be part of various measurement systems or a component of a specific instrument such as a spectrum analyzer.
1.5 This document specifies the range of operating environmental conditions for the filters. The required range depends on whether the instrument containing the filters is designed for controlled environmental conditions or for more general field work.
1.6 Bandpass filters that meet the requirements of this document can provide frequency-band-filtered spectral information for various signals, such as time-varying, intermittent, or steady-state signals, as well as signals with long or short durations.
