Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for mercury-free zinc powder, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, quality certificates, and the content of contracts (or purchase orders), etc.
This standard applies to mercury-free zinc powder products made from zinc as raw material, with the addition of alloying elements such as In, Bi, Al, and Ca, and manufactured by methods such as spraying, chemical replacement, electrolytic co-deposition, and vacuum evaporation and condensation. This product is mainly used in the manufacturing of mercury-free alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide batteries.
