Scope
This document specifies the dimensions, electrical and mechanical properties of aluminum alloy and copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors used in aircraft lightweight cables and aerospace applications. This document is applicable to stranded conductors with a nominal cross-sectional area ranging from 0.25 mm2 to 107 mm2. The conductors in this document are not suitable for conventional copper cables, fire-resistant cables, or heat-resistant extension cables. Copper cable conductors are specified in accordance with ISO 2635, fire-resistant cables are specified in accordance with ISO 1967, and thermocouple compensation cables are specified in accordance with ISO 80561.
