Scope

This part specifies the relevant safety requirements for actuators operated by hand or other parts of the human body at the human-machine interface.
This part specifies the general requirements as follows:
——The general orientation of the actuator's movement;
——The arrangement of one actuator relative to other actuators;
——The correlation between the action and its final effect.
This part is based on IEC 60477, but it is also applicable to non-electrical technical processes, such as mechanical and fluid power systems.
This part applies to individual actuators and groups of actuators that constitute components.
