Scope

This part of GB/T 25444 (hereinafter referred to as "this part") specifies the requirements for electrical installations of mobile and fixed offshore facilities, applicable to drilling, production, processing, and storage in the offshore oil industry, including pipelines, pump stations or "pigging" stations, air compressor stations, and exposed single buoy mooring facilities.
This part applies to all electrical installations with an AC voltage not exceeding 35,000 V and a DC voltage not exceeding 1,500 V, whether permanent, temporary, mobile, or handheld.
This part does not apply to fixed medical equipment or electrical installations of liquid cargo ships.
Note: For electrical equipment used in medical rooms, see IEC 60364-7-710.
