GB 6675.2-2014 Safety of toys—Part 2:Mechanical and physical properties
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 6675 applies to all toys, that is, any products or materials designed or intended for children under the age of 14 to play with. This part applies to toys that consumers receive for the first time, as well as toys that have passed reasonable and foreseeable normal use and abuse tests, unless otherwise specified.
This part stipulates the requirements for acceptable toy structural features, including shape, size, contour, clearance (such as rattle toys, small parts, sharp tips, sharp edges, hinges, etc.) and parameter requirements for certain toy performance (maximum kinetic energy of non-elastic head projectiles, minimum tilt angle of certain ride-on toys, etc.).
This part stipulates the requirements and test methods for toys used by children from newborns to 14 years old. These requirements vary according to the different age groups of toys. The requirements for toys used by children of specific age groups are formulated based on the characteristics of the hazards and the intelligence and physical abilities of the children to deal with them.
