GB/T 41941-2022 Rubber, vulcanized—Measurement of fatigue crack growth rate
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for measuring the crack propagation rate of vulcanized rubber under long-term cyclic fatigue. The cracks start from the tip of the pre-notched specimen and gradually propagate until the final cracks reach a sufficient size for complete failure. Using pure shear specimens, the crack propagation rate is obtained by monitoring the change in the length of the cracks under cyclic loading, that is, the increase in the length of the cracks per cycle. By changing the strain amplitude of the specimen, the strain energy density applied to the specimen can be adjusted, thus achieving the purpose of measuring the crack propagation rate under different tearing energy conditions.
This document is applicable to the measurement of the crack propagation rate of vulcanized rubber under fatigue conditions.
