Scope

This document specifies the general procedures for the preparation, measurement, marking, storage, and conditioning of rubber samples for physical testing, as well as the preferred conditions used during testing. It does not include specific conditions applicable to special tests, materials, or simulated special climate environments, nor does it include specific requirements for testing entire products.
This document also stipulates the time interval requirements for rubber samples and products from their formation to testing. This requirement is necessary to obtain reproducible test results and to avoid disputes between consumers and suppliers.
