Scope

This part of GB/T 9387 defines the basic mechanisms of names and addresses used in OSIE to identify and locate objects. The use of these mechanisms is defined in the hierarchy of the basic reference model. This part extends the concepts and guidelines defined in GB/T 9387.1-1998. This part is not intended to serve as an implementation specification, nor is it intended to be a basis for evaluating implementation consistency. The standard forms of naming and addressing are not within the scope of this part.
