Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and order forms (or contracts) for aluminum ingots used for remelting.
This standard applies to aluminum ingots used for remelting produced by the molten salt electrolysis method of alumina cryolite.
The primary aluminum liquid can be processed in accordance with the provisions of this standard and YS/T 1004.
