Scope

This standard applies to the special requirements and safety requirements for the type evaluation of single- and three-phase installed active and reactive energy meters (hereinafter referred to as meters) with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
This standard does not apply to meters with a nominal voltage exceeding 600 V (for multi-phase meters, the voltage is line-to-line), meters used to connect electronic transformers (GB/T 20840.8-2007), meters used to connect low-voltage current sensors (IEC 61869-10:2017), portable meters, standard energy meters, and data interfaces of meter registers.
