Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the content of soap and organic acids in styrene-butadiene raw rubber: Method A is an indicator method, and Method B is an automatic potentiometric titration method.
This standard applies to emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene raw rubber. For styrene-butadiene raw rubber using aromatic hydrocarbon filler oil and/or obphenazine antioxidants, Method B should be used.
