Scope

This part of GB/T 33983 specifies the safety requirements and protective measures, type tests, routine tests, and marking, labeling, and packaging for direct methanol fuel cell systems under normal operation, foreseeable faulty operation, and transportation conditions.
This part applies to direct methanol fuel cell systems with a rated power of not more than 1,000 W that use methanol or methanol-water solutions as fuels. For such systems, those with a rated power of less than or equal to 240 W are classified as micro fuel cell systems; those with a rated power of more than 240 W and less than or equal to 1,000 W are classified as mobile direct methanol fuel cell systems.
