GB/T 3655-2008 Methods of measurement of the magnetic properties of electrical steel sheet and strip by means of an Epstein frame
Basic Information
Scope
This standard applies to the measurement of the AC magnetic properties and DC magnetic properties of grain-oriented and non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets (strips) with a frequency limit of 400 Hz.
The purpose of this standard is to clarify the general principles and technical details of measuring the magnetic properties of electrical steel sheets (strips) using the Epstein square coil.
The Epstein square coil is suitable for measuring samples made from various grades of electrical steel sheets (strips). The measurement of their AC magnetic properties is carried out under a given peak magnetic polarization (or peak magnetic field strength) and a given frequency and sinusoidal induction voltage.
The measurement is conducted at an ambient temperature of 23 °C ± 5 °C, and the samples should be demagnetized before the test.
Measurements at higher frequencies should be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 10129.
