Scope

This document is applicable to fixed capacitors and resistor-capacitor assemblies used to suppress power supply electromagnetic interference. These capacitor and resistor-capacitor assemblies (RC assemblies) are connected to AC power supplies or other power sources, with a nominal voltage between their power lines of no more than 1,000 V effective value and a frequency of no more than 100 Hz for AC voltage, or no more than 1,500 V for DC voltage.
