Scope

This standard specifies the mandatory requirements for materials, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules of pipeline pressure regulators used in welding, cutting, and similar processes (hereinafter referred to as pressure regulators) to ensure safety.
This standard applies to single-stage and two-stage pipeline pressure regulators that regulate high-pressure gas, such as compressed gas from gas cylinders or mixtures of methyl acetylene and propylene (MPS) and dissolved acetylene, to the required output pressure and deliver it to the main pipeline.
