Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents, instruments, sampling, measurement methods, result presentation, and determination rules for assessing the freshness of paddy rice.
This standard is applicable to the paddy rice procurement and storage process, and to the determination and identification of the freshness of domestically produced japonica and indica rice, serving as a guide for paddy rice procurement and storage. This standard is not applicable to the determination and identification of the freshness of glutinous paddy rice.
