Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, and requirements for packaging, labeling, storage, and transportation of rice.
This standard applies to edible commercial rice processed from paddy, brown rice, or semi-finished rice, but does not apply to specialty rice, dedicated rice, special varieties of rice, or rice that has been added with additives.
