Scope

This standard specifies the structural form, product models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of water hammer absorbers for building water supply (hereinafter referred to as absorbers).
This standard applies to water hammer absorbers used in water supply pipelines with nominal sizes of DN15 to DN400, nominal pressures not exceeding PN40, and water temperatures ranging from 0°C to 70°C. It can also be used for water hammer absorbers in other water supply and distribution pipelines with the same or similar media and operating conditions.
