This document specifies the dimensions required for the installation of Class I, Class II, Class III, and Class VI elevators.
The dimensions given in this document reflect the requirements for the installation of elevators and their equipment.
This document applies to all elevators installed in new buildings with a single car and an entrance or through-entrance, regardless of the drive system. This document also applies to elevators installed in existing buildings.
This document does not apply to elevators with a rated speed exceeding 6.0 m/s.
