Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, shape, weight, and allowable deviations of low-alloy steel plates used in low-temperature pressure vessels, as well as technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to low-alloy steel plates (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates") with a thickness of 6 mm to 120 mm used in pressure components of low-temperature pressure vessels operating at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to -70 °C.
